Definition: Depression is a severe despondency and dejection, typically felt over a period of time and accompanied by feelings of hopelessness.
Causes
· The cause to the disease may be in the genetic background of a person. If you have a family history of depression, you may contribute to it. · Brain chemistry is another, people with different chemistry become depressed than those who have a same brain chemistry. · Stress and loss of a loved one, a difficult relationship or any alike situation may trigger depression. Diagnosis/Treatment
To diagnose this disease you’d see the symptoms and that is how the treatment will come in. Seek help right away from a Doctor or see to a psychotherapist. Prescribed medicine will most of the time be what the doctors give you but if the treatment does not help from two to eight weeks then you must see your doctor again and they will examine and refer to you something different. |
